The Wyoming Agriculture & Natural Resources Mediation Program helps parties resolve disputes in a way that is voluntary, confidential, low-cost and time-saving.
A trained mediator helps the parties talk about the situation and develop an agreement that works for everyone. Mediation is another tool to help agricultural producers and natural resource managers make wise decisions. Mediation is provided for a variety of issues including:
Ag credit
Neighbor/neighbor conflicts
Farm/ranch transition discussions
USDA adverse decisions (FSA, NRCS, RD, RMA)
Lease issues (land and equipment)
USFS grazing permit disputes
Organic certification appeals
and more!
The Mediation Program also provides assistance to ag producers needing resources for agriculture stress. Financial counselors and farm succession coordinators are also available.
